I see this as a statement that has been masked over to make it sound like someone complained instead of the truth. By changing a word here and there you can see what it is really about.
"This practice upsets the balance of CCPs wallet, and CCP employees who actively put their time and energy into working on their drinking will no longer be unfairly affected by those few who have not paid thier accounts."
There...now that makes sense.
I'm curiuos though... how long would it take an account to be considered as "Inactive"? 30 days? A week? 24 hours? The second you are not paid? Or does it go by how often you log in? Do we need to be logged in all the time now so we can train skills? Think of all the lag that would create by people who just don't want to loose SP. 100,000+ players logged on all the time...you think lag is bad now
I think further explaination is needed in this respect.

I love how they announce this only 2 days before it happens. It's obvious they have allready made up thier minds and this thread is just here to make it seem like they will do something they never do...

When you are due to gain a skillpoint, a button appears in your skill list in your character sheet, and by clicking it you gain that skillpoint. Then, a few seconds later, you'll be ready to gain another skillpoint.
I don't see why someone who isn't logged on and fast asleep should gain skills at the same rate as someone logged in and actively putting time and energy into working on their characters.
I agree with this post. It makes sense that you have to be active if you want to gain skillpoints. Anything else would be unfair for the people who log in and play the game.
Ok so you want a button you have to click on every second to gain a skill point? Ok you win...you came out with an even dumber idea that CCP.
Someone please hide those Stupid Pills!!!

Maybe they could have a "Nerf the Devs" lottery with round trip airfares to Iceland with a whiffle bat and 1 hour to spend alone in a locked room with the dev of your choice. Hell I'd buy tickets for that.
